CRIES (RCESI) – Resource Center for Ethical and Solidarity Initiative (www.cries.ro) in partnership with the European Platform IRIS (www.iris–network.eu), Intercultural Institute (www.intercultural.ro) Service CALL (www.apelngo Com) and Integra Romania (www.integraromania.ro) develops the project Strategic Models of Good Practice in Social Inclusion. The project is financed by the European Social Fund and carried out nationwide in 2010-2013. Centres implementation of the project are: Bucharest, Arad, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Oradea, Odorheiu Secuiesc, Sibiu and Timisoara.
The overall objective of the project refers to the development of social economy in Romania as a tool to promote social inclusion and active citizenship. Of project activities, we mention: analysis and research activities, training in social economy activities to promote social networking, development of pilot projects to launch 8 projects / pilot initiatives in the social economy. Areas of interest that promotes CRIES Association in this project concerns: social enterprise insertion, trade fair, trade jointly finance and microfinance social ethics, responsible consumption.
In the town hall of Oradea was launched the project “Models of Good Practice in Social Inclusion“. This was an opportunity for participants to get more information on participation in local working group. President CRIES, Mihaela Vetan presented the project and its goals and invited this way local actors interested in promoting the social economy and social inclusion in community development to join the project. Sergiu Florean from CRIES added to the presentation of the project. Florica Chereches a partner in the project, listed the benefits of the project and the reasons behind this conclusion. The participants, representatives of local NGOs and of ASCO, asked questions and discussed about the opportunity of social economic development in Oradea. They also discussed the establishment in the autumn of a local action group to develop the social economy in Oradea, consisting of relevant local actors. This local group will explore the development of social economy in Oradea. Municipality proposes a work strategy in this regard, which can then be introduced in Oradea’s social strategy.
